The company should maintain complete bio data of each employee in separate records like name, age, sex, education, department, identify number, total service or experience, present company service or experience, race, nationality, native place, designation etc. This information will help a critical analysis. Based on the bio-data of employees, the management can understand the reasons for labour turnover. Then the problem of labour turnover can be solved.
2. Scientific System of Recruitment, Selection, Placement and Follow Up
The recruitment and selection procedure should be in transparent. If so, the existing employees are hesitating for leaving from the organization. These steps will provide mental rest to all new employees. The scientific selection and recruitment lead to the placement of right man at the right job. 3. Job Analysis and Evaluation
The job analysis and evaluation help the management to assign the right job to the new employees. Moreover, physical, mental and technical qualities are also considered before assigning a job to new employees. These steps will help to remove lot of reasons for dissatisfaction.
4. Enlightened Labour Supervision
Generally, the workers are expecting reasonable wages with proper working conditions. The promotion is given to right employees. The transfer norms are properly followed. The management should pay attention on health and safety of all employees and provides facilities for education and training. The recreation facilities are also available within the organization. There must be a over all plan for improvement of human relations in the organization.
5. Joint Control
A committee may be formed to find out the reasons and problems of labour turnover. Both management and workers represent the committee. The formation of such committees will encourage mutual understanding and general co-operation to reduce labour turnover.
6. Use of Exit Interviews
The Company can conduct an exit interview if an employee decides to leave from the organization. In an exist interview, the company should not force the employers to get reasons from them. They are expected to disclose the facts and reasons frankly. This type of practice leads to getting valuable information from them. They are used to reduce labour turnover.
