What is Training?

Once an employee is selected, it is necessary to ensure that he is placed on the right job. But mere induction is not sufficient to extract the best out of the new employee. Some form of training is needed so that the new employee can learn the skill, knowledge, attitude and behavior needed to perform his job effectively. Thus, training is an act of developing the skill and knowledge of an employee to perform a job assigned to him.
